For TSM, a victory here would mean a place in the playoffs. By taking down the Golden Guardians, TSM have secured their place, while simultaneously knocking CLG out of playoff contention. Here’s a brief breakdown of the match.

With so much on the line, this was the TSM show all the way, scoring first blood in the mid lane with a countergank. TSM positioned themselves to secure the first Dragon, and though they lost the first turret, they quickly bounced back to secure the Rift Herald.

TSM would go on to secure important vision chokepoints across the map, allowing them to catch the members of the Golden Guardians out of position as they rotated to secure their first turret. With the vision control firmly established, TSM were able to secure their second Dragon, before a team fight allowed them to add two more kills to the tally.

Continuing to rotate around the map, TSM secured another turret before again catching out several members of the Golden Guardians, then rotating to secure the first Baron. With the extra power, TSM pushed in multiple turrets, taking down two more kills to extend their lead, before securing another Dragon and cracking open the Golden Guardians base by destroying two inhibitors. The final inhibitor and turrets would fall, as a last ditch defence failed to slow TSM’s advance. With this victory, TSM have secured themselves a spot in playoffs, while also denying CLG the opportunity to compete.
